M&F Bank shareholders prepare to vote on proposed merger with Optus Bank

Shareholders of Durham, North Carolina-based M&F Bank were scheduled to vote on a proposed merger with Optus Bank, another Black-owned bank. The transaction would combine two minority depository institutions and reshape Black-owned banking in the United States.[5]
