M&F Bank plans merger with Optus Bank to create largest Black-owned bank

Durham-based M&F Bank plans to merge with Optus Bank in a transaction expected to create the largest Black-owned bank in the United States. The combination would expand the scale of two historically Black-owned financial institutions.
