New owner of Swarthmore Group plans a Black-run venture capital firm

Gerald Jones, a Philadelphia entrepreneur and former stockbroker, said he purchased the bankrupt Swarthmore Group and plans to launch a Black-run venture capital platform. He is seeking pension fund and endowment backing for Capital Fund I LP, with a target of $100 million.
