M&F Bank and Optus Bank announce proposed $105 million merger

M&F Bank and Optus Bank announced plans to combine in a transaction valued at more than $105 million. The merger is expected to create the largest African American-owned financial institution in the United States and expand lending capacity for Black-owned businesses.
