Chicago awards CrossTreats $500,000 grant for worker-owned food facility

The City of Chicago is supporting Black-owned food business CrossTreats with a $500,000 Wealth Our Way grant for a $1.5 million manufacturing facility in Chatham. The project will convert a 12,500-square-foot building into a nut-free snack production site with offices and event space.[7]
